Cairns Tours offers 2 exciting days exploring the rainforests of Far North Queensland. Experience Kuranda the 'Village in the Rainforest' followed by an incredible journey where the ancient rainforests meet the reef.

DAY ONE: KURANDA SCENIC RAIL & SKYRAIL:

Enjoy a leisurely start to the day before boarding your coach, which will transfer you from your accommodation to the delightful Freshwater Station to board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail.

Upon arrival in Kuranda, the day is yours to experience the charm and colour of the village, including the many stalls and shops, giving you the opportunity to sample and experience much of the local art and handicraft.

At your scheduled time, your return to Cairns is aboard the “award winning” Skyrail, providing a unique insight into the rainforest canopy and spectacular views of the Coral Sea.

Your rainforest experience ends at Caravonica Lakes where your coach is waiting to transfer you back to your accommodation.

Diamond View Gondolas provides guests with amazing panoramic views of the tropical landscape, Coral Sea and rainforest canopy, but also the unique perspective of looking straight down from the treetops to the forest floor through the glass flooring for the entire Skyrail experience. Taking a maximum of 5 persons and a waiting time of 7 minutes.

DAY TWO: CAPE TRIBULATION IN A DAY

Explore the rainforest and amazing landscapes of the Cape Tribulation wilderness area.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

Mossman Gorge
Visit the Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre and enjoy an indigenous presentation by the traditional owners of the gorge, the Kuku Yalanji people, before boarding your eco shuttle for the transfer into Mossman Gorge. Your driver/guide will take you for a guided walk, sharing their knowledge of this enchanting rainforest environment.

Cape Tribulation
Walk on this world-renowned rainforest beach, where the rainforest meets the reef and admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout.

Tropical Lunch
With special access at a private rainforest property, enjoy a short walk along a delightful rainforest creek before a delicious tropical lunch. Choice of quality steak, fish or vegetarian meal with fresh salads and fruit platter, followed by coffee or Daintree Tea.

Alexandra Lookout
After winding through the rainforest of the Alexandra Range, enjoy this spectacular lookout over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea.

Daintree River Cruise
Reach an understanding of this wildlife environment for 1 hour, habitat of birds, tree snakes, unique plants and of course the estuarine crocodile.

Daintree Ferry
Re-cross the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry - one of the last of it's kind!

Return Hotel Transfers:  Starting approx 7am from Cairns and Northern Beaches (Trinity Beach, Palm Cove), 8am from Port Douglas.  Returns: 5pm to Port Douglas and approximately 6pm to Cairns.

Note:  It is not necessary to do these tours on consecutive days.
